Olivia Rose Moore earned her law degree from Western Law in 2023. Prior to law school, she graduated with Distinction from Toronto Metropolitan University with a B.A. in English (Honours).
Olivia gained experience in immigration and refugee law throughout her legal studies. She began working for a leading boutique immigration and refugee law firm in her first year of law school where she assisted clients with a diverse array of immigration matters including humanitarian and compassionate applications, pre-removal risk assessments (PRRA), criminal inadmissibility matters, and refugee claims. Olivia then articled at another leading immigration and refugee law firm where she focused on misrepresentation matters, a ministerial relief application, refugee claims, judicial reviews, and assisted in both completing research for and editing the factum for the appeal of Pepa v Canada(MCI), 2023 FCA 102 to the Supreme Court of Canada.
Olivia is a fearless advocate who has litigated before various levels of the Immigration and Refugee Board, including the Refugee Protection Division and Immigration Division. She has also appeared on criminal matters before the Ontario Court of Justice and Superior Court of Justice, giving her a unique perspective on criminal inadmissibility issues.
