Aminder Kaur Mangat Elected as OBA Member at Large
We are thrilled to announce that our talented head-lawyer and founder of AKM Law, Aminder Kaur Mangat, has been elected as a Member at Large in the Ontario Bar Association’s Section Executive elections for 2024-2025.
The Ontario Bar Association (OBA), a branch of the CBA, represents close to 17,000 lawyers, judges, notaries, law teachers and law students from across the province. They are the premiere provider of quality professional development and information to members of the legal profession. The OBA positions itself as a supporter for the legal professionals, providing high-quality professional development and information. They actively work to advance fair justice systems, foster efficient law reform, and is committed to promoting equality and eradicating discrimination within the legal profession.
As a legal subject matter expert, Aminder is committed to addressing the real-world challenges and opportunities in immigration law. The OBA turns to candidates like Aminder, to gather information about the experiences, challenges, needs and opportunities of lawyers practicing immigration law. Aminder is looking forward to contributing to meaningful dialogue and advocacy.
